Pompeii Shore Excursions

One of the most important commercial ports in Roman times situated at the mouth of the river Sarno. Buried by the devastating force of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. rediscovered by chance 16 centuries later is the most visited archaeological site in Italy. There you can visit the Forum area, the Theatres area, the Baths, and some of the best preserved houses with the original mosaic floors, frescoed walls and in some monuments you can still see some of the plaster casts of the inhabitants who were suffocated by the ashes erupted from the volcano.

• Entrance fees: Pompeii Excavatios 11,00 Euros; Mt Vesuvius (crater) 6,50 Euros. Free entrance for under 18's, over 65's holding an European, Canadian, Australian passport
